Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of sustainable commitment in mediating the influence of competitive market and sustainable knowledge on sustainable performance among pharmacists in the implementation of sustainable pharmacy. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey design. The population consisted of pharmacists serving as Heads or Managers of community pharmacies and hospital pharmacies in Bogor City and Bogor Regency. A purposive sampling technique was applied, yielding 124 respondents. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS 4.0. The results reveal that the competitive market has no significant effect on either sustainable commitment or sustainable performance. In contrast, sustainable knowledge positively and significantly affects both sustainable commitment and sustainable performance. Furthermore, sustainable commitment exerts a significant positive influence on sustainable performance. Mediation testing indicates that sustainable commitment does not mediate the relationship between competitive market and sustainable performance. However, it significantly and positively mediates the link between sustainable knowledge and sustainable performance.
