Abstract

This study uses job satisfaction as a mediating variable to examine how happiness at work (HaW) and Quality of work life (QWL) affect Work-life balance (WLB). For 104 respondents, the Regional Financial Management Agency of Pariaman City and Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatera Province, employs a quantitative approach using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) approach. The findings indicate that whereas HaW has no direct impact on WLB, it does have a large indirect impact through the mediation of job satisfaction. In contrast, QWL has a considerable and favorable impact on WLB both directly and indirectly. This study's practical implications include how crucial it is for public sector firms to raise employee satisfaction and work environment quality in order to promote work-life balance and boost organizational success.
