The Role of Christian Education Teachers as Counselors in Reducing Adolescent Stress Levels

This study discusses the role of Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers as counselors in helping adolescents overcome stress, especially those caused by family conflict. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, through in-depth interviews with Christian Religious Education teachers and literature reviews from books, scientific journals, and other relevant sources. The data collected were analyzed descriptively to understand the meaning and relevance of the role of Christian Religious Education teachers in the context of counseling. The results show that most Christian Religious Education teachers have not been optimal in carrying out their role as counselors due to limited time, understanding, and facilities. Christian Religious Education teachers have the potential to become spiritual companions through Christian counseling based on prayer, empathy, and Biblical values, in order to support the psychological well-being of adolescents holistically.
