This study aimed to examine the workplace stress factors among part-time lecturers in Lesotho. A qualitative research design method was used where thirty face-to-face semi-structured interviews were used to collect data in lecturers working in public, private and religious higher education institutions. The findings reveal the following workplace stress factors in part-time lecturers: heavy workload, working hours, job insecurity, office space, resources and facilities, delay in payment and student behaviour. The findings of this study further add to the existing literature on workplace stress in the context of Lesotho. Therefore, future studies may use other methods and also focus on full time lecturers of all higher education institutions in Lesotho, to get more insights on the issue of workplace stress.
