Abstract

Interfaith marriage is a social phenomenon that reflects the intersection of individual identity, social norms and legal structures. In Indonesia, the presence of interfaith couples continues to increase along with the high mobility and interaction between individuals from different faith backgrounds. However, inadequate regulations and the dominance of conservative values pose various challenges in terms of legality, social acceptance, and family dynamics. This article examines the phenomenon through a multidisciplinary lens, particularly in the context of family sociology, to comprehensively understand its impact on family structure and social cohesion.
